iSTAR raises Rs 10 crores in Series A, led by Michael & Susan Dell Foundation
iSTAR Skill Development, a skill training company has raised Rs 10 crores (USD $1.5M) in Series A funding from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation. Unitus Seed Fund, an early investor in iSTAR also participated in this Series A financing round. iSTAR provides skill training and recruitment services to undergraduate students from arts and science colleges across India.
Michael & Susan Dell Foundation Announces the 2015 Class of Dell Scholars
The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation today announced its 12th class of Dell Scholars, providing 300 low-income, determined students the chance to obtain a college degree. Much more than financial aid, the Dell Scholars Program provides ongoing assistance to address emotional, lifestyle, and financial challenges that often prevent students from completing college.
Medha and Michael & Susan Dell Foundation to Bring Career Services and Employability Education to Disadvantaged Youth Across India  
Medha announced a new collaboration with the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation to scale its Career Service Centers (CSC) and Employability Education Program to 1,500 students across Northern India. With grant funding and technical support from the Dell family foundation, Medha will open up CSCs in 50 educational institutions across Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in the next two years.
