Arohan: Going Beyond the Needs of Their Customers
The mission of Arohan is to provide financial services to the socio-economically disadvantaged to enable them attain a better quality of life and while doing so, earn an attractive return on capital for its investors.
In less than 24 months, Arohan grew to a client base of 150,000 in the city of Kolkata. The microfinance institution aims to cover the urban low income communities and expects to reach a client base of 800,000 by March 2012, and impact 2 million customers by 2014.
