Thanksgiving Grants
November 21, 2003
On November 21, more than $1 million in Thanksgiving Grants from the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation will be delivered to 36 Central Texas non-profit agencies. These surprise grants coincide with the beginning of the season of giving and are meant to act as seed money for additional donations for these non-profits that continue to touch and improve the community with their good works.
After a tough fundraising year, these grants are a way of saying thank you to the organizations in Central Texas that are helping the Michael and Susan Dell Foundation achieve the mission of encouraging and inspiring youth to achieve their full potential.
Additionally, these grants challenge the Austin community to contribute to these worthwhile organizations during the season of giving. These organizations need additional community support to continue the great work they do, during this season of giving and year-round.
