Williamson County, TX - Lone Star Circle of Care is honored to announce that the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation has provided a $200,000 grant to be used for pediatric care in 2007-2008. This generous investment will support comprehensive care to Lone Star Circle of Care’s pediatric patients, including medical care, dental services, behavioral health services, and wellness classes. The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation grant program will cover services are for children ages 0-18 who are uninsured and underinsured.

"Our goal for this program is to be the medical home for more than 18,000 uninsured and underinsured children this year. By having access to a medical home, uninsured and underinsured children have access to routine primary care, preventive healthcare services, dental care, and mental health services," Jen Rodosta, Director of Grants for Lone Star Circle of Care said. "Sadly, many medically underserved children do not have a place to go for primary care services that are critical to living a healthy life. The grant from the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation will allow us to provide these critical services to even more children and give them a chance at a healthier life."

The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation was established in 1999 by the Dell family to improve outcomes for underserved children in a measurable way. Based in Austin, Texas, the Foundation funds programs that foster and improve education, health and safety for children around the world.
