A Practical Approach to New Ideas
Our grant making approach reflects the culture and vision of the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation. Deeply concerned for the overwhelming number of children living in urban poverty and the complexity of their needs, we are both pragmatic and innovative. We take a business-minded and disciplined approach to identify where, geographically and in what area of focus, our resources can best produce direct solutions and long-term systemic changes. We work in close partnership with our grantees and collaborate with other foundations to support new ideas that offer well-planned, purposeful and data-driven paths to achieve clearly defined goals for improving the health and education of children today and the prospects of future generations.
